As a tourist destination Tijuana lacks the dreamy turquoise waters of the Caribbean, the colonial beauty of the Mexican Bajio and the charm of Pacific Coast cities, like Puerto Vallarta, Zihuatanejo, and Mazatlan. 

Tijuana is instead most known for being home to the world's busiest border crossing, attracting millions of North Americans that come specifically to take advantage of less expensive products and services. In the past 9 years, since the construction of the Angeles Hospital - Tijuana, one of 22 hospitals in the Angeles Network (Mexico's largest and most celebrated private hospital network), health care services have reinvented this city. 

Visitors now come for services such as dental, cosmetic, orthopedic, gastric, gynecological, cardiovascular, general surgery, offered at a fraction of the cost in the US and at little to know what time when compared to services offered in Canada.
